Authors Jack and Judith Woods have written a series of historical juvenile novels about life on the Erie Canal in the mid-19th century, and are using their web site not only to reach a broad audience for their books, but to make contacts with libraries, museum book shops, schools, and canal festival planners to plan appearances, such as book-talks and signings.
